Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026. What we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

What we collect

Account details (name, email, password hash), the recordings you upload, the outputs we generate, usage and diagnostic events (job status, error logs, credit usage), and payment records handled by our payment processor. We do not sell your personal information.

How content is processed

Recordings are transcribed and analyzed by third-party AI providers under data processing terms that prohibit training on your content. Your data is used only to provide the service. Processing is automated; staff access artifacts only to investigate an issue you report.

Cookies and tracking

Your session is kept in your browser's local storage, not a cookie. When analytics are enabled, we use a small set of first-party analytics cookies to understand product usage and improve the Service; we do not use cookies for cross-site advertising, and we honor the subprocessor disclosures below for any analytics vendor in use.

Subprocessors

AWS — Hosting, storage, and processing infrastructure (us-east-1). Mistral — Audio transcription. OpenRouter / Google Gemini — Model routing to Google Gemini for slide and text processing. Stripe — Payment processing. Amazon SES / Resend — Transactional email delivery. Microsoft Clarity — Website analytics and session replay.

International data transfers

Our infrastructure and subprocessors may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for these transfers.

Retention — source media

Uploaded recordings are stored encrypted (AES256) in the cloud and deleted automatically 30 days after upload by a storage lifecycle rule.

Retention — project state

Project state (transcripts, slides, structure) is retained until you delete the project or your account.

Retention — outputs

Generated book outputs are retained until you delete the project or your account.

Security

Uploads travel over TLS and are stored encrypted at rest in the cloud. Access to production systems is limited to the engineers who operate the Service.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 where required by law). If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

Your rights

You can export your outputs at any time and delete your account yourself from the settings page. Deletion removes your uploads and generated outputs from storage and anonymizes your account record; we retain the credits ledger as a financial record, as required for accounting. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. California residents also have the right to know what personal information we hold, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale — we do not sell personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or through the Service before they take effect.
